We are delighted to announce the visit on Saturday of the consul general of France in San Francisco, Mrs. Pauline Carmona. She will talk about what is the role of diplomats and consuls.

PROGRAM 

Friday, March 20th 
 Conferences

Magdalena Chaland, psychologist, cross-cultural coach and writer, whose work focuses on the French speaking community living outside of their country of origin will talk about “Developing Nomadic Intelligence”. Living the experience of emigration is a paradox; it implies accepting change at the deepest level while maintaining a continuity in our identity. The particular ability to adjust to and find balance in an unfamiliar setting by accepting uncertainty, unpredictability and even a state of temporary ignorance is "Nomadic Intelligence".

Fabienne Slama ACC, BS, MS, certified life purpose andrelationship coach and hypnotherapist, will present her book “Renaissance Woman - A Feminine Midlife Crisis from Loss of Identity to Rebirth”, a wonderful toolbox helping women loss in their midlife crisis to reconnect with who they are and to create the woman they would like to be by changing inside out.


Bruno Ponsot,  French Chef  who worked at the world renowned Paul Bocuse Restaurant in Lyon as a pastry chef , did an externship at Gaston Lenôtre Patisserie in Paris and a summer season with Alain Ducasse,  he now works as a culinary instructor at the newly open International Culinary Center in Campbell. He will talk about French Cuisine, his experience working with world renowned chefs and will share and prepare one of Paul Bocuse’s recipes.



Live Music and Dancing 7 pm to 10 pm

French singer Sylvie Boisel, who has performed in France, Australia and the United States, will sing songs from the French classic repertoire as well as some of her own.
The French rock band Five Frogs and a Matador will be in Palo Alto with their now famous World Wide Tour "Today the pond, Tomorrow the world! Or may be the day after...". The group performs multiple French and international bands, including Telephone, Indochine, The Cure, Simple Minds, Greenday, Johnny Halliday, The Clash, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Cake... The band's name refers to its 6 band members, one Spanish and five French startuppers who decided after a tech-overdose to dedicate their life to sex, foie-gras and rock'n roll.
